WELCOME TO YT!!!! Coco wasn't mean, but she was a finger and toe chewer. After I spoke to Stacey (YT member SYLVAN) she sent me some great information. They do grow out of it, but only if they know it's wrong. You don't want to ignore the bad behavior because then they might not grow out of it. They might think it's ok. It's good to address the biting and let them know it's NOT ok, but to be tactful about it. It's always better to reward than punish. I used bitter apple spray. I didn't spray it on my hands or feet but after a while everytime she bit I put a drop of it on her tongue. It only took about 3 times (about 3 drops) before just seeing the bottle would make her stop and I would give her a treat. Everyone addresses it differently but I couldn't let her go through with the phase because I have a 3 year old nephew that wouldn't understand that it's a phase. Good luck!
