Yep, you are correct. I maybe can't take the dog but I'd sure be willing to throw in a few $$ towards his dental if someone GOOD would be adopting him.
This is why I don't volunteer at our local shelter. I'd just be either taking home every dog and cat or I'd be paying for their Vet care so someone good could take them home.
I'm a total "sucker" when it comes to animals. I think it's because they don't have a voice.
