Unlove So Sorry!

I can really sympathize with you, having lost my nine year old yorkie this past winter. The pain from the loss was almost unbearable. Did your vet give you any literature about grieving for a lost pet? I felt the pain as much as if it was the loss of a human, the love is just as real. Bless you for staying with your best dog for those last moments. My dog died unexpectedly at the vets office while undergoing anesthesia for dental cleaning; I wasn't even there. Feel free to cry and grieve; you are normal to feel the loss. I keep a picture of my Buddy in my office and next to my bed and look at it often. It does get a little easier to deal with as time passes. I must say though that the man I was dating at the time decided my grief for losing my dog was too much for him to put up with/understand and we broke up(!) after that...
