Update!
Kandi and Gizmo are fine.
The nose drops for bordatella are administered in such a way that it can (and did) irritate their sinus passages. It's all in their little noses. He listened to their lungs and there's no chest congestion at all. I feared the worst since I couldn't identify the sound they were making.
The vet prescribed antihistamines.
