Sometimes that does happen. The battle for dominance is constantly happening, but sometimes it leads to fights. I take Couver all the time to the dog park. People even call him the king of the dog park
I think that as long as you keep an eye on your dog, and are within a short distance of them, they usually are ok. The big dogs usually take it out on eachother, not the little ones. Just be careful... things happen quickly!
