I honestly worry about it all the time after hearing about stories like this!

I was told by her owner that the dog is a mixed breed. She's about 60 pounds and very playful (usually). The owner said that she thinks that her dog just thought it was a toy or a squirrel, cause she had never acted with aggression before. But that does not excuse the fact that she can break the city rules by not keeping her dog on a leash at all times.
Thanks for your thoughts and kind words.

Gotta give her credit for taken responsibilityand paying the $1300.00 vet bill the next day. She was also very remorseful. I just pray that something like this ever happens again.
