Kennel Cough?? My Yorkie, Thor, is now 4 months old. He has had all his vaccinations up to date, and we chose for him to get the Kennel Cough. I noticed prior to his shots, and each time we brought him in to see the vet, I asked about Thor's coughing and gagging noises; all the vet told me was to keep an eye on him, and use a harness instead of a collar when walking him.
The other night he was coughing/gagging so hard around bed time that liquid-foamy stuff was coming up. For months we have noticed he has a runny nose, sometimes it gets so drippy I use a kleenex and wipe his nose for him, or if he breathes out to hard it drips all over our shirt or arm or whatever when we are holding him. I've been reading about kennel cough, and some of the symptoms are coughing/gagging, and drippy nose! I wonder if Thor had kennel cough before, and the vet gave him a vaccination while he had the virus?! Anywas, I am worried, what should I do? Will this pass? Is it serious? Am I being a paranoid mommy? Should I go back to the vet? Help!
