well when we got Maisy she was 3 months old and wasn't fully potty trained outside..just on weewee pads and so since our house is carpeted too we put a crate in the bathroom and leave the door open to the crate and put a doggy gate up between my room and the bathroom. There are her "safe to play alone" toys in there and water and a wee wee pad. Thats where she sleeps and is whenever we aren't supervising her
