My 17 year old baby has slept with me all of her life and has never jumped down but last year I turned my back on her and she fell out of bed (My bed it pretty high) and she blew out her knee. She is in kidney failure so they couldn't do surgery - but she recovered
well in about 3 months and does not have a limp or anything and she doesn't act like it hurts her.
