This is very good advice. I wanted to add that you should add a release word to tell them when they can come out of their Sit or Stay. I just read something that says "Okay" is not a good release word because we humans say it so frequently in normal conversation. I've already taught Thor "Okay" though, so we're sticking with that. Unlike Cherry, Thor is most definitely not a genius.
