 Bruce's toenail was ripped out!
Yesterday Bruce's toenail was ripped nearly all the way out. I am not sure exactly how it happened as he was playing at daycare when it did. They explained that he was playing and jumped onto the lap of one of the handlers and got it caught somehow on a chair (Bruce has gone their for 3 years and I trust that this was just a freak accident), but back on point. Once we got to the vet the vet finished the job he started and had to rip it out all the way. Bruce now has a little cast that looks like a ballet slipper, antibiotics and anti inflamatories and we go back to the vet on Saturday...
My question is has this ever happened to anyone else? How long did it take the nail to grow back? He seems to be in a lot of pain is there anything I can do? |
