I think I may have overstated by using the word "blockage". The vet would not prescribe a certain drug because it COULD be a blockage and she was unsure. The vet saw his feces backing up but not completely blocked. There was as much feces (if not more) toward his rear end as near his stomach. He has pooped every day for the past three days but not the last 24 hours. This morning he was very energetic and running around like normal or better than normal. It has been almost three weeks since the "sneezing" like symptoms began and he has had about 4 different episodes each spaced a few days apart. We have been force feeding him "people" food but I was able to get him to eat pumpkin today by putting Gerber's meat flavored baby food over it. He did nibble on some normal dry dog food yesterday. I certainly hope this passes. He ate quite a bit yesterday. From chicken, to beef, to yogurt, to cottage cheese, and many other things. I will go pick up the Metronidazole even though $55 sounds high but if this will get him better than I will do it.
