Alter liver enzymes? only while they're taking the drug ... Yorkies already have bad livers not all Yorkies have bad livers, the breed has a predisposition to have Liver shunt dx, so if the parents didn't have problems, their pups should be okay too.this does not sound like it is worth it to me particularly since they said if I give the wrong amount he will go into convulsions and paralysis.(Convulsion is a possible side effect, I haven't heard of it causing paralysis) My dog weighs 6.2lbs. and takes 1/4 250mg tab 2X Day. He's never had any side effects.Your pup would take 1/8 of a tab. If a pill is splitable (scored on one side) it means that the active ingredient is equally distributed throughout the pill. I think this would be safe for your pup.
I would agree $700 sounds pretty cheap for any kind of surgery. My pet insurance 30 day wait period ends at the beginning of June but max benefit per incident is $500, $100 deductable and 20% co-pay. | Hope this helps ..... |
