I've always kinda felt that way about meat, dairy.... So I understand exactly how you feel, that book just made me more so. I still feed my kids milk, meat.... and have a very hard time with it but hubby is definitely a meat and potatoes kinda man and against my vegan wannabe ways.
I eat almost no meat and dairy but still not 100% yet, like you would like to be one day. Still have the odd McDonalds hamburger, sour cream, butter... but not too often.
