This is very close to the way I handle my waiting list and deposits.
I always have people in our area contacting me about babies. I currently have three people on a waiting list, and two of them wanted to place a deposit already. I don't take deposits till 8 weeks old after I have had them all vet checked and priced. I have the litters listed on my website with weekly pictures and send individual pictures of the pups to those whom are on my waiting list. I wait till 8 weeks old for deposits for a couple of reasons. 1st I want to make sure that my babies are completely healthy before they are made available, 2nd I don't like someone to just pick a baby, I want them to come out and meet all that are available and choose the one that seems to bond with them. To be placed on our waiting list one must fill out a puppy application. I have had several people never get back to me once I have sent them my application. I guess I get to personal, but I care who is going to be raising my babies.
