Conner had a ruptured anal gland, and I had to take him to the emergency vet. My regular vet said there is not as much fiber in dog food these days and suggested I give Conner a tablespoon of pumpkin every day. He said it would firm up his stools and the glands should empty when he goes. I am going to try it.
