As long as everything is okay structurally (rare that it's not), then I would look at what you're feeding bc sometimes if there is an ingredient that's irritating to a particular dog's digestive system, they end up w/ clogged glands. What is his poo consistency on his current food - is it nice and hard - or is it mushy? If mushy, then the food may be the culprit.
