There's absolutely nothing wrong with pound pups, some of my favorite dogs were pound pups, it's just that if you are going to give monetary support to a breeder, some of us think that you should give your money to the best breeder you can find, one that's ethical, and actually is trying to improve the breed. Most of we pet owners will never breed or show, it's not about that, it's about rewarding the good breeders, and helping put the bad breeders out of business. There sometimes isn't much of a cost difference between buying from a bad breeder and buying from a good breeder, people can charge whatever they want for their dogs and price is just one factor, so you can't go on that alone in choosing your breeder, that's why it's important to know what other qualities to look for.
