Ringworm can last a very long time - esp. bc this fungus leaves spores around, so reinfection is very possible. This is why it's so important to treat w/ meds a FULL 8 weeks. Oral Diflucan seems to be the drug of choice right now for dogs. After about 6 weeks of treatment, you should do another fungal culture to be sure it's negative. Baths during the treatment period (and for a while after) should be once a week using a prescription antifungal shampoo on all dogs in the house.
