be very careful when trimming the ears with scissors. Always point the scissors towards the tips of the ears and use the tips of the scissors to cut. this will minimize the chance of cutting the dog. Its easiest to use a clipper and just run it over the inner and outer leather of the ear if you haven't done it before and if the dog is wiggly.
