I don't board bc 1) I think it's just too stressful on the dogs and 2) I won't get kennel cough vaccine for my boys.
I'd recommend a pet sitter - I just used one for the 1st time and paid $40 a night, which is really not bad as we probably would've paid that for the kennel. He stayed overnight with the boys and was there all evening (and if he wanted, during the day). I left instructions for all of their feeding etcetera. I think this option is way better for the doggies than kenneling - but sometimes a kennel is your only choice too.
