Believe me, I understand, but this is a case where the "dogs know best".

My other two dogs (a 91 pound German Shepherd and a 19 pound "teapot" yorkie) have totally put my little man (3 pounder) through puppy boot camp. But he still harrasses the big dogs something silly! I don't think the GSD would ever even nip at him, its not his nature, he just rolls him out of the way with his head (that is hilarious, when they are on a tile floor the baby just swishes across the room!). But the other Yorkie, well, he has snapped at him a few times. Pretty much "watch it pipsqueek" stuff.

But you have to let them sort themselves out, or you will spend the next 10 years playing referree. they have to sort out the pecking order. Most yorkies, no matter how small, think they are the TOP of the food chain, so, it is occasionally noisy. But generally safe.

Good luck.
