Yes, I would be. I would be asking why the puppy isn't registered. Sometimes, folks do that when they purchased their dogs with limited reg. then any puppies they have cannot be registered with AKC. Don't believe them if they say it is too expensive, cause it's not. I have registered puppies for around $30 for the litter. Also, a 2lb. 8 week old is probably going to end up bigger then the parents. Are they letting the pup go at 8 weeks? Yorkies should stay with mom until 10 to 12 weeks old.
Just take your time and ask the right questions and you will find a wonderful puppy for you
