Today was one of the most busiest days I had in a long time around my house. I've have been working on my house all morning. First the painters came to finished the last of the painting. Then a friend of my came over to hang up blinds on ten windows as well as the guy who cuts my grass. Well as you can imagine, there were people running in and out of the house. When the painters left for the day, they decided to go through the garage to throw some paint cans away and they left through the garage door. I told them don't worry about the door I will close it because I still had some stuff to throw away. While I was in the garage, Brandi must of slipped out the door leading to the garage and ran right out of the garage. Of course I didn't noticed this until about 15-20 minutes after I got back inside. She didn't wander very far....thank God.
When I noticed Brandi wasn't laying on the couch downstairs, I search the whole house looking for her. She usually comes when I call her name but this time she didn't. Then I noticed the door leading to the garage was cracked and the garage door was still open
. I panicked and took off
outside yelling for her. Fortunately there was a yard sale a few doors down from me and my neighbhors know my dog. They were trying to catch her for me. Boy was I scared because although my particular street has very little traffic it was more today than usual because of the garage sale. As soon as she it was me calling her name she came running full speed. I picked her up and hugged her so hard I thought she was going to pop. Then immediately after, I started scolding her. Usually Brandi follows me around the house like a shadow and the hold time the painters were there, she never left my side. I guess this time curiosity got the best of her and she just had to go do a little exploring on her own.
