So, I'm not sure I understand -- he has *had* Cushing's for awhile and is now decompensating? Or, he was *just* diagnosed w/ Cushing's?
First, be sure the vet is comfortable w/ Cushing's, bc it is complicated. Tests need to be run to see which kind he has - do they know? (adrenal vs. pituitary)
Both kinds can be managed w/ meds-and at his age, I don't know that I'd opt for surgery anyway - even if it was possible (too risky in his condition).
Why are they saying to put him down when Cushing's is treatable?
