Your vet is right though.
All a bile acids test can do is tell you if the liver is having a functioning problem. It won't diagnose a problem. Liver shunt and MVD is very common in Yorkies though, so that is always the first thought. |
He was tested for a liver shunt as a puppy and it was negative. Can they happen at anytime? What is MVD? Thanks. -Janine
