Yes, I do spray them down with Crown Royal Detangler/Conditioner spray, it's a water based, very light spray.
As far as cleaning the brush, CC Systems gives instructions for cleaning brushes on their site. But, I'm going to check with them and see if there are different instructions for this specific brush.
