I use the pin brushes on my schnauzers. They work great for them, espically Lexi. Her coat is so thick its hard to even get a clipper to go through the hair on her ears. But, little Kayla. There is no way I would use a pin brush on her. I use a bristle brush and sometimes even a baby brush. I would be so afraid of hurting her. Those brushes work fine on her because, (knock on wood) I have never had any problems with her matting.
