I hate going against what people's vets tell them but that is inaccurate.
I have the insert from Ellie's box of Denosyl right here and under "Administration of Nutritional Supplement" it says:
"Because the tablet must be kept intact to prevent destruction by stomach acid, administration range is based on the nearest whole tablet."
Stomach acid would destroy it if it is crushed.
It also shouldn't be given with food unless you have to use one small bite to get it down.
