Default Any Accountants/CPA's

I am going into the accounting field. I have done one semester of my generals so far. I help my dad out with his books and everything. anyway. My school has a two year degree in accounting (aas deg.) i originally wanted to do the four years and become a cpa. but i would have to transfer and it would end up costing more money because i have to take 40 credits in generals vs. 21 credits in generals (something about transfer regualtions). then transfer and pay more money because it would be a university. I know the pay wouldn't be as high, but i could always just go back for another 2 yrs down the road. So is there really a difference in there job description? Any differences at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
