yes, i would take her to the vet for a health check ASAP, it is really important. most breeders will say in their contract that you need to take it to a vet check to validate the health guarantee.
8 weeks is REALLY young to be bring her home, this could be problematic for you and the puppy. usually the earliest to bring home a yorkie puppy is 12 weeks. they still have many things to learn from the mom and siblings.
it is best for you and the puppy if you can wait till she is at least 12 weeks old. i am not sure why the breeder is letting the dog leave so early...
