I've always loved Yorkies and small dogs in general. My dad bred pit bulls and it's a great memory I have as a child and wanted to be able to do the same for my kids. My dad always said if you could get the personality of a small dog in a big dogs body you'd be all set. I got both my Yorkie pups from breeders. One with whom I am not pleased with because breeding will not be an option with the female she sold me
. Upside is it's really motivated me to learn more about the breed and breeding so that maybe someday I can please someone with a wonderful healthy dog
I'm actually going to a show this month and hoping to learn more and maybe find a breeder with whom I can trust and eventually get a show quality female to breed or maybe just show...I just love Yorkies! I'd like to become one to preserve the standard Yorkie and make it easier to get a standard Yorkie as a pet and to do away with unethical breeders. They've always been my favorite dog breed! Soooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!
