I have 4 yorkies. My first from a disreputable (told me the puppy was full grown at 4 pounds ) BYB. Tia is now 19 pounds and the love of our life! No health problems what-so-ever.

Cooper - a breeder with a good rep. Great little guy - almost 3 yrs - no health probs - 6.6 pounds

Oliver - a home breeder. Had 2 females and one male. Adored her doged but didn't over breed them. 2 yrs - 9.9 pounds and no health probs so far.

Abbi - online - know nothing about the breeder - but (gulp - I hate to admit this in this forum!!!) I've always wanted a small yorkie. She's 6.5 months - 2.7 pounds and my vet says shes extremely healthy, great bite, very strong heart. I know things can change, but I'm crossing my fingers and saying my prayers.

I joined Yorkietalk after getting Abbi ( my youngest baby) and have learned so much!! Of course, I won't be getting another (unless my husband is out of the picture - LOLOL), but I continue to learn each and every day. My vet was totally amazed at what I was doing for Abbi when she had "the runs" and I couldn't get her to the vet. She said it was "professional advice". I was giving her pumpkin, plain yogurt and pedalite (sp?). She's pretty sure this is what kept Abbi alive during her bought before I coule get her on antibiotics.

SO - THANK YOU YORKIETALK!!!!!!!

XOX,
Michele :-)
