I agree - the Twilight books are awesome and I'm not a supernatural or romance kind of person - I usually like older type historical fiction type books, but I LOVED Twilight. It's worth a shot to read at least the first one.
Alice Sebold is awesome - I completely forgot about The Lovely Bones and Lucky... LOVED these books also.
There is also an author I like that I'm just going to suggest - she is a christian fiction writer (just saying in case anyone gets offended) - but she writes mystery type books and they are AWESOME. Another genre I'm not really into (mystery) but loved... she has them in series sets and you have to read them in order in order to get the story. My favorite series is the "Kanner Lake Series". Those books are Violet Dawn, Coral Moon, Crimson Eve, and Amber Morn. Her name is Brandilyn Collins.
