We litter trained our male and he took to it very well, I do however keep a washable pee pad under it since sometimes the leg lift causes him to pee over the edge. Our female is very tiny and does not like the litter box as well so she pees on a pee pad but poops in the litter box. I have to say I hate the pee pads!! The litter box deals with the smell much better. I would like her to consistantly use the litter box but until that happens I will deal with the pee pads instead of dealing with her peeing on the floor next to the litter box.
