Default Stupid Owners!!!

Ok so its been a strange experience!!!
We had 3 babies born 22 Jan this year and within 3 days of advertising them they had all found lovely new homes and had some people come for miles!
Well one of the pups who was actually the first one to go was the most gorgeous little man, but wasnt yorkie infact he came out lhasa like his mummy.
Easter Sunday we get a email from his new family after they had homed him for 4 weeks, saying because of a change in circumstances she couldnt keep him so she brought him back and we gave her the benefit of the doubt she was really upset about having to bring him back, she had had him wormed, fleaed and vaccinated by the vet and when we offered her money back she said not to worry about it, and came 3 hours later bareing puppy and 4 large bags of stuff for him!!!
We decided he would now not go anywhere else even tho she asked us to advertise him and find him another home we couldnt do it to him. So we told her he would stay with us and we would email her every so often so she could see how he was doing...

6 days later we get another email from her saying she wants him back, that she had resolved the situation that prevented her keeping him and would come the same day or the following day to get him...

We had to speak to police and a dog warden to find out where we stand about having to hand him over because we didnt want to send him back but she had paid for him and we were informed that actually she could come and get him if she wanted even tho she had rehomed him to us, so we was told to offer her the money back and tell her she could not come and get him and hope that she doesnt contest it and after a few emails back and forth and us basically telling her to get stuffed she couldnt expect us to do that too him she gives in and says she would look forward to recieving her money back

I couldnt believe the neck on the woman and also that if she hadnt accepted the money she could have reported us and got him anyway. How does that protect the dog? Or even the new owners!

I stated in the email that i sent her that if i had emailed her 6 days after she first took him and said we wanted him back she would have rightly said no, but what i cant believe is there is no law or protection that says i couldnt have done that, (in the case of animals given away free) not sure what happens the reverse when there is money involved.

will post pics in the other forum!
Tell me what you think of this situation
