In my honest opinion if she is not wanting you to do a home visit I would back out. It would make me feel like she has something to hide. Trust your gut instinct.
You have done a good job weeding through people and yes sometimes gut instinct will give you the answer. Even though you need her to be gone soon I commend you for your efforts on taking time to look through potential homes for Lolita.
