I purchased a similar collar.It has sound and shocking capabilities.Our little Izzy ran off every time we let her out without a leash-she would not go on a leash.
Usually you can use the sound part to warn her when she is straying.I did use the shock on a low setting once or twice-that is all she needed.Now she responds to the sound.
I was leary of using this but I was at my wits end having to chase her in the neighbors yard in my pjs.Good luck.Be sure you get one for a small breed dog.
