 diatomaceous earth?
I'm looking for an anti-flea product that is safe for all kinds of animals: I have my yorkie, 2 cats, and 4 parakeets in a small house. A friend of mine told me once about diatomaceous earth (I think that's how it's spelled!) and I've found it online and it's not expensive....but I'm concerned about the effect it would have on my birds. Everything I've read says that it's safe for all kinds of animals but none of them mentioned birds. (I'm not thinking about applying it to the birds or their cages or anything but was wondering about any dust that might be in the air.) I'm wondering if anyone here has used it or does use it? Does it work really well? It's flea season here in Texas and I have to do something soon or find a new home for my baby. Comments?? TIA. |
