My family always seemed to end up with male dogs, so I wanted a female. I wanted to see what it would be like to have a female for a change, plus as others have said, there are so many cute bows, outfits, etc. for females. When I went to the breeder, there were 2 in the litter: Molly and her brother. I chose Molly from when she was just 2 weeks old. She has turned into a cute, feminine "mommy's girl", which I find endearing. Next time around, I'll choose the dog that chooses me.
