I think you are correct. We took that darn clicker with us everywhere. Every pee, every poopy, every positive thing she did, we clicked and treated. I agree, I think the words are confusing and little nudging by either clicker or hand motions are the best. I can get Sophie to sit and to go down by moving my hand a certain way. Which was all part of the training at PetSmart. I'm sure there are many on here that have their dogs doing all kinds of neat stuff. Mine are just basic commands.
