My Yorkie, Diesel is outside potty trained. I skipped the pee pads! There was no way I wanted to pick up poop and change wet, stinky pads or papers in the house! I have crate trained her. So, when we are not home, I put her in her crate--just in case. But, so far, she has been able to hold it while we are gone. I follow a schedule with her, so I know when she has to go. I don't free feed her, I feed her on a schedule, so I know when she has to go.
