He was living in NC at the time and was suppose to be relocating to NJ. I remember asking my mother everyday what day he was suppose to arrive and she said she wasn't sure that she had been trying to contact him and was unsuccessful, she even called family members and some of his friends and everyone said that they had not seen or heard from him. On the night of March 22 into the 23, 2000 I had a crazy dream, my brother told me he was about to be murdered by two guys he had met recently who were new to the state. He was about to tell me their names and all of a sudden I jump up out of my sleep. I felt uneasy that whole day and the days that followed. Meanwhile, my family did everything they could to locate him which included calling hospitals and police stations. Three weeks had past and still nothing. One night I was baby sitting two of my nieces and the doorbell and phone rung at the same time. I picked up the phone and one of my cousins said open the door, you could hear that something was wrong in his voice and I tried to asked if everything was OK but he kept saying open the door. I went to open the door and his mother was standing there and she was crying and I said to her don't tell me, James is dead isn't he. She look at me like I had two heads and said who told and I said no one I just know. It turns out that on March 22-23, 2000 the same night as my dream, my brother James was murdered (tortured to death) and his body was thrown in some brushes on the highway. It was one of the worst things to ever happen in that town in NC. Thankfully, his murders were caught about two weeks later as they were trying to flee the state. One of my brother's close friends had witnessed the entire thing, he was actually forced to watch at gun point and told that if he went to police the same thing would happen to him. After three weeks of silence he could not hold it in any longer and he went to the sheriff department... with him as the eyewitness and the evidence linked to the crime the two guys were convicted and is currently serving serious time in prison.
 | What a horrible thing to have happen to your family. You poor thing! I am so very sorry for your loss. I know you must feel even worse given that you foresaw it. |
