I am worried about a spay but I have trust in my vet, he has done surgery on her once already so I feel trust in him doing a spay for her. |
If you don't plan to breed her, why put her through the misery. Keeping a girl in tack without breeding her can subject her to some issues that would require spaying anyway. The harmons out of wack are enough for me. I have a 5 year old female that was just spayed after 4 litters. Evidently she was about to come into Season when she was spayed. She went through a false heat, acting like the little slut, putting her butt in my studs faces, driving them nuts. Well guess what?, she thinks she's with pups. It takes 6 months for the harmones to leave their body after a spay.
My biggest fear for a female that is not spayed without ever being bred is Pyometritis.
