Great advice Elaine....I have three children who were 5,7, and 9 when we got our first Yorkie (almost 5 years ago) and we added our second last year. I have found that the "bigger" 7 lbs and over can really keep up with kids. My kids are great about walking our two daily and my daugher who is now 14 can actually run with Lola. The little ones are definitely not as resilient and require much more care upfront and in the future.
