| Bridgett's nightmare I am so sorry for your loss. I am new to this website. My yorkie, "Bridgett", is 9 years old. Three years ago, she had to have a knee replacement. Her heart stopped beating during the surgery and our vet fought very had to save her and did. But now Bridgett has an anal gland tumor and needs surgery again. He is reluctant to do the surgery because of her previous scare with anesthesia. I had her at the vet yesterday and he is considering gas and a block in the area. He told us that surgery is necessary, but it is a question of which risk are we willing to take. I love her with all my heart. Not having any children, she is my fluffy child. So, we almost lived that nightmare once and am feeling the overwhelming heaviness of trying to make the decision for her surgery again in the very near future. |
