With Gracie, she always went down stairs without using the bad leg. Now she still does that if she goes at the speed she wants. But if I have her on a leash and we go slow, one stair at a time, she does not favor it and actually stops favoring it for a time after that. For her it is a habit.
I wish the best for your little Shelby. | The surgeon has assured me that her knees are fine..... and the physical therapist agreed. There is a way that they move the knee that they can tell if the ACL has a tear in it..... and also they can tell if it is a small or complete tear. Shelby's is definitely NOT complete tear and I think that we have a good chance of recovery without surgery. Thank-you for your well wishes....... and yep, ONE STEP AT A TIME!
