It has de-boned Chicken in it. They were slow to take to it last week when we started, But now they eat it with no complaints. The pieces are a little larger, But Sammy is 15 pounds and Baron is 7 pounds. RC had a 2 star rating on the food ratings charts and Wellness had 6 stars. So I am happy with my choice to switch to a better ingredient dog food.
I've been thinking of trying Wellness too, but could you give me more information on this glaze like coating on the food? The Yorkshire terrier formula is said to have certain things that reduce tartar, and that's been our main food for two years. Joey's teeth are great, but I do brush and use Petzlife, and bully sticks, I just hadn't heard of the "glaze like" coating. There is something called extrusion in processing kibble, and it produces a much harder kibble than baked, but is sprayed with vitamins that are not heat tolerant, is this what you are referring too? Anyway from my understanding, the kibble that has been processed through the extrusion method is much better for their teeth than that that has been baked because it is so much harder.
