kennel reduction does not necessarily mean puppy mill. We raise Beagles. My husband has been a breeder and trainer of Field Champion beagles for over thirty years. At times, we have found it necessary to "reduce" our kennel for various reasons. We are Indian Hills Kennel. There have been times we are in financial straits or illness or my hubby, who is a big old softie, has decided to keep most of a litter, then, later decided to sell. maybe they don't have the nose or foot to be a good dog. people routinely ask when they see our ads, what is wrong with them? Why are you selling them? rather than go into our personal problems, we say kennel reduction. Too many dogs at this time. that is an honest answer.
So, before you write this person off, call them up. talk to them> Ask about the kennel reduction. Most breeders will tell you if you flat out ask. We do if pressed.
