Thanks! I just talked to my boyfriend about that. He said Maggie has a lot of pent up energy because his roommate just takes her for one half hour walk every day. They have a tiny yard, so she never really gets to go run anywhere.
A couple of times when she was trying to play with Layla, she was being pretty rough without even meaning to. She laid on the bed on her side beside Layla, and was kind of flailing her front legs for Layla to play with her, but she wacked Layla in the face with one of her paws, and she also almost pushed her right off my lap. Layla got out of the room once and tried to go upstairs. Maggie thought she was running to play, so Maggie chased after her. Layla was halfway up the stairs when she saw Maggie barreling after her, so she cowered on the stair and Maggie jumped right over her. Poor thing was so scared she was shaking! (so was I!)
I really think the exercise thing is a big issue here. Maggie is constantly in that state, when someone is around she wants to jump and play. She is never tired, she is never "calm-submissive"
